Many of our students are often exempt from the requirement to sit for and pass the First-Year Law Students’ Examination, also known as the “Baby Bar.”
Our JD Degree Program offers a part-time format to provide more options and greater flexibility to our students.

Moot Court: Our students have the opportunity to participate in our regular moot court program, as well as to compete in national moot court competitions. In fact, one of our students won “Best Brief” last year in a national moot court competition that included teams from some of the top law schools in the country.

What scholarship and financial aid options are available to me?
SFLS has just established New Merit Scholarships for students enrolling in Spring or Summer of 2019 for both 25% off the cost of tuition and 50% off the cost of tuition for all four years of our JD degree program.
To qualify for one of these new, merit scholarships, students need to have an LSAT score of 150+ and meet the SFLS admissions criteria. To review the scholarship requirements, please visit .

When does the JD degree program start?
The JD degree program is a semester-long program and is open for enrollment during the Spring, Summer, and Fall enrollment periods. You can find a copy of our Fall Semester academic calendar here.
How long does it take to complete the JD degree program?
The JD degree is an 87-credit program and takes a minimum of 4 years to complete.
